Launch of the 2016 IPSE Freelancer Awards Offering £5,000 for Self-employment

The IPSE Freelancer Awards, which aim to reward the most ambitious and enterprising self-employed people in the UK with financial support and supplementary assistance, are now open to entries for 2016 until 8 April 2016.

IPSE believes that self-employment is worth celebrating, therefore, its Freelancer Awards aim to reward the country’s most ambitious and enterprising self-employed people.

Entrants will have an opportunity to win funding and additional support to help their business reach its potential. Fifteen finalists will be invited to pitch themselves and their business to a judging panel.

Ten of these finalists will be eligible for the Inspire Award – IPSE’s award for a stand-out self-employed person who represents the talent, work ethic and success found in the UK’s self-employed market.

This year’s funding package breaks down as follows:

Overall INSPIRE Winner and Overall ASPIRE Winner

•£5,000 for the Inspire Winner to go towards their business

•£3,000 for the Aspire Winner to go towards their business

•A range of other business prizes

2 Runners Up in INSPIRE category

•£2,500 for each Runner Up to put towards their business

All fifteen finalists from both categories will receive a variety of technology prizes and vital business support to help them get on in business.

The Awards are open to freelance or independent professional self-employed people from across the UK. Examples of industries include designers, writers, developers, architects and inventors; however most industries will be within the scope of the programme.

The 2016 deadline for receipt of applications is 8 April 2016.
