Road to Enterprise - Courses throughout 2016

Road to Enterprise is a FREE introductory course which comes in 2 parts. The first part is a workshop which lasts 4.5 hours and is aimed at helping Blackpool residents, and those people wishing to locate a business in Blackpool, set up a new business.

This workshop consists of the basics of setting up a new business; the things you need to know; the do’s the don’ts etc. This group workshop is interactive, friendly, without jargon, and designed to inspire as well as take you through your business plan, cash flow forecast, answer any questions you may have and inform you of any start up loans you may be eligible for. You will be in a group, with like- minded people, all setting off on the journey to start a business.

Road to Enterprise Part 2

Road to Enterprise part 2 is your chance to compile the research, discussed in the morning session of the Road to Enterprise course part 1, in a quiet environment with the aid of the internet and relevant media, facilitated by a resident expert.

Links will be provided to enable you to research.

Every Tuesday commencing 26th January 2016. Sessions will run from 13:00 – 16:00

It will help you to conduct research and complete your plan if you could do the following BEFORE you attend the course:-

1. Bring with you your Blackpool Council Library Card (number) or if you are not a member, join the library here. This will enable you to access a program called Cobra, which is only available to Library members, and is a tremendous resource to research your business.

2. Bring your own laptop or tablet. This will enable you to type your results straight onto the business plan provided, and save you time later. If you do not possess one please let us know and we will try and facilitate something to assist you.

3. You may find it beneficial to have a memory stick, external hard drive to save any data that you obtain from your research if you do not have your own laptop, tablet device
